In the screenshot of the Macro Recorder below, you can control whether you want to record mouse actions, keystrokes, or both. You can also control playback parameters, such as how many times to repeat the recorded actions, playback speed, and random time delays between consecutive playbacks. Additionally, you can configure a keyboard shortcut to start or stop recording and playback, while another configurable shortcut allows you to pause and resume playback.

Configurable Settings of Macro Recorder

A few configurable parameters that apply to the Macro Recorder are available in the software's settings. Here you can configure audio alerts to be spoken using text-to-speech, or select an audio beep with a configurable frequency and duration. You can change the application icon to a selected icon file for easy identification. You can also enable the recording of screen element data (foreground window title, control name, and value) based on the mouse cursor location for easier identification in the recorded data.

Context or Right Click Menu of Macro Recorder

You can right-click on the main screen of the Macro Recorder to open a context menu offering easy access to various features of the software. You can capture a screenshot of the entire screen or a rectangular area and save it as a .png image file. The context menu also allows you to view recorded data, launch the Clipboard Text Monitor, open the Mouse Cursor Highlighter, and more.

View Recorded Mouse Actions and Keystrokes

Even during a short-duration mouse recording, there can be many recorded mouse movements and left or right mouse down/up actions in the script. With the "View Recorded Data" feature, you can view the recorded mouse and keyboard actions. Note that the screen pixel color at the time of the mouse action is also displayed for easy identification. You can also enable the recording of other screen parameters, such as the active window title, control name, and value, from the Macro Recorder settings.

Mouse Cursor Highlighter in Macro Recorder

You can use the built-in Mouse Cursor Highlighter to easily locate your mouse cursor on the screen visually. A circular screen overlay in your selected color centers itself around the current location of the mouse cursor. You can also configure a system-wide keyboard shortcut to launch and close the Mouse Cursor Highlighter, as displayed in the screenshot below.

Clipboard Text Monitor in Macro Recorder

The clipboard is a shared resource for applications running on Windows. The built-in Clipboard Text Monitor allows you to view text stored on the clipboard and automatically updates the displayed text whenever the clipboard content changes.
